Select Your Course
First decide your course such as B.Tech, B.Arch, BBA, BCA, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA or any other professional course according to your qualification and career goal.
Check Required Entrance Exam
Check which entrance exam is required for your selected course. B.Tech admission is generally through JEE Main or CUET, BBA/BCA/B.Pharm and other UG courses through CUET UG, MBA/MCA through CUET PG, and B.Arch through NATA.
Fill Entrance Exam Form
Before AKTU counselling, students must fill the required entrance exam form with required subjects. Entrance exam forms generally come before the counselling process, so students should check official exam websites regularly.
Appear in Entrance Exam
After filling the entrance form, appear in the required exam such as JEE Main, CUET UG, CUET PG or NATA. Your admission chance depends on your entrance exam score, rank and counselling choices.
Check UPTAC Registration
After entrance exam result, UPTAC registration usually starts around May to June. Students must register on the official UPTAC portal to participate in AKTU counselling.
Complete One-Time Registration
UPTAC registration is usually a one-time process. If you miss the registration window, you may not be allowed to participate in later counselling rounds, so do not wait for the last date.
Pay Counselling Fee
During registration, students have to pay the counselling registration fee. The fee amount may change, so always check the official notification before payment.
Upload Documents
Upload required documents like marksheets, photo, signature, entrance exam scorecard, category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate if required and other documents carefully.
Document Verification
After uploading documents, the counselling authority verifies your documents. If any mismatch or error appears, correct it within the given time.
Choice Filling and Locking
After document verification, fill your preferred colleges and courses. Arrange choices carefully according to branch, college ranking, location, fee, placement and your career goal.
Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted in counselling rounds according to entrance exam rank, category, seat availability and the choices filled by the student.
Accept Seat
If a seat is allotted, pay the seat acceptance fee and choose your willingness option such as Freeze, Float or Withdraw according to your decision.
Report to Allotted College
After seat confirmation, report to the allotted college with original documents, allotment letter and required college fee to complete final admission.
Start Your Classes
After completing admission, attend classes regularly, focus on academics, practical skills, projects, internships and placement preparation.
